The Foundation

PHATRADE was founded in Egypt in 1975, trading spices and herbs sourced from the fertile Nile Delta and Upper Egypt. As demand from international fragrance and flavour houses grew, the company invested in extraction infrastructure and cultivated its own aromatic crop farm in Al-Beheira Governorate near Sadat City.

Manufacturing Begins

Production of essential oils began at the Sadat City facility in 1987, marking the transition from raw-material trader to fully integrated manufacturer. An in-house Gas Chromatography laboratory followed in 1989, giving PHATRADE the analytical capability to verify purity independently, a standard central to every batch produced today.
